After meeting these two amazing people on the phone and after describing their day for me, I knew this was going to be such a beautiful wedding to capture and tell their story. Katie is originally from the Pacific Northwest, and they decided to have their marriage in Seattle. Although both of them currently live in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Their wedding weekend began with Rayce and the groomsmen having a round of golf at the Newcastle Golf Course and Katie having a brunch with the ladies at the Palladian Hotel. That morning on the course we experienced one of the most beautiful rainbows that gently peeked through the clouds as golf carts were mazing around.
The Rehearsal Dinner took place at the London Plane in Seattle and was one of the most intimate environments to have a dinner of that sort. We captured laughter, love, and family coming together to celebrate Katie and Rayce. It was so evident by being there that these two were loved by so many that surrounded them. From their, we said our goodbyes and off on the Wedding day we went.
We began at the Palladian hotel where both parties got ready, taking their time to embrace the little details and laughter. Kaleb Norman James did a fantastic job of portraying the most elegant and timeless of designs to the floral and stationery invitations. Kaleb also designed the Venue with the most luscious greens, florals, modern design elements, and an overall timeless look Sodo Park. The atmosphere perfectly described Katie and Rayce.
The Wedding day continued with a beautiful ceremony and reception that led into the night.
Although the wedding of Katie and Rayce was in Seattle, Washington, they both lived in Arizona. In our mind's eye, we saw no better way to finish this story, then to portray their love for their home.
We took a trip out to Arizona where they both showed more of whom they were through incredible hospitality and kindness. We ended up taking a little road Trip to Page, Arizona where we spent time with just them in Horseshoe Bend and capture their friendship and intimacy at sunset. The next morning, we explored around Page at sunrise and found the most incredible rock formation where the two of them, in the silence of the desert, shared their vows once more.
