Let there be Ivory!

Kuulei + Danny

It all started in January 2014. At the time, Kuulei was teaching Kindergarten and Danny was working at Trader Joes. Danny was asked last minute to lead a school tour where the kids would learn about the food pyramid and agriculture. At the same time, Kuulei was loading up her class and headed for their annual Trader Joes field trip. As fate would have it, Danny was their class tour guide. Yes, teacher meets tour guide. For Danny, it was love at first sight. At the end of the field trip, they chatted for a bit then went their separate ways. Danny did everything he could to try and figure out who she was and a way to “bump” into her again. He had a co-worker that knew Kuulei from church, so for the next several weeks, Danny came to her church hoping to see Kuulei. Three months later Danny got around to asking her on a coffee date. That weekend they met at a local coffee shop and had instant chemistry. Everything from then on was history. They now work together as teachers at a private school in Ventura, California.

Simply and classy were Kuulei's goals for the look of her wedding. She had always imagined an all ivory wedding with accents of greenery, which worked out perfectly with the lush and private wedding venue tucked in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Valley. For the ceremony, the Tuscan arch accented with white flowers made for such a dreamy location for the two of them to say their vows. The blueberry and lemon fields added to the uniqueness of the venue and the wedding day. The chiffon cake, peonies, eucalyptus, gold accented candle lanterns, string lights, and chalk boards with calligraphy together created one of the chicest receptions we have ever seen! More than the decor that was to die for, we loved seeing their love portrayed to one another on this special day.
